This means that the style is just as bold, colorful and daring as the show itself (on both the parents and the kids). Completely original and undeniably compelling, Sex Education is nostalgic and pioneering in equal measure.

We decided to bring one of Lily Iglehart’s cardigans to life, even though we weren’t sure how successful this project would be.
Inspired by her pastel, textured knit, we set out to capture the whimsical, handmade spirit of Lily’s wardrobe. The cardigan in the photo — with its soft rainbow shades, chunky bubble-knit sleeves, and cozy oversized fit — perfectly reflects her personality: playful, artistic, and just a bit eccentric.

Every detail seems intentionally imperfect, which is exactly what makes it so charming. The pastel pink base combined with multicolored puffed stripes gives off a dreamy, almost nostalgic vibe, like something from a retro sci-fi world. It’s both comforting and bold — much like Lily herself.

Recreating it wasn’t just about copying a piece of clothing; it was about capturing the character’s energy. The design required patience, creativity, and a willingness to experiment — the same qualities Lily brings to everything she does. When we finished, the result felt like a small tribute to her unapologetic individuality and love of fantasy.
